Current Nighttime Routine

Hello beauties! Grab a cup of joe cuz this one will take a few to read.
I never cared much about skincare growing up but a few years ago, when I was seriously getting into makeup, I started taking a closer look at the way I care for my skin as well. I consider myself very lucky with my skin – besides it being on the dry side, I’ve always had clear, non acne prone skin. Thank you, genetics!

There is no better feeling then taking off my makeup at the end of the night. Below is what i do every evening!

I’ve used this for years now. it removes ALL my eye makeup and I mean ALL. It states on the bottle that it is oil free but to the touch, it does feel oily but that doesn’t bother me because it is only step one of my night time routine. I should also make note that I wear contacts and this remover doesn’t irritate my eyes at all.
Before face wash, I like to use face wipes to help take off the majority of my makeup. I’ve been using these wipes for about 4-5 months after a suggestion from a friend. These wipes are amazing for my dry skin. They do have a scent to it so if you have a sensitivity to scents, then I would probably do a test on a small patch of your skin before using them.
3. Face Wash
My favourite at the moment is the Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser. My face tingles when I’m using it and it feels sooo clean and fresh after. I wet my face with warm water, put the cleanser in my hands and rub it all over my face and neck. After I’ve worked it in for a few seconds, I take the Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Spin Brush to work in the cleanser. This is when the tingles begin and it is ahhhhhmazing! This spin brush is under $50 and I swear, it competes with the fancy, expensive ones AND can be found at the drugstore.
My favourite toner ever is the Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Instant Infusion Treatment Toner. Ladies, this shit is booomb. I pulled this description off the Sephora website – this toner provides up to 24 hours of moisture while protecting from environmental stressors. It is without parabens and phthalates and is a solution for dryness, dark spots, uneven skin tone, dullness and uneven texture. The scent is so light and clean and I absolutely love what it has done for my skin.
5. Nighttime Oil & Creams
Like I mentioned before, I have very dry skin so instead of a moisturizer, I like to use a skin oil. My favourite is the Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins refining oil. I’ve been using this for over a year now.
I also tend to have a dry neck (weird, I know, lol) and my go to for that is the Origins Plantscription Powerful lifting neck treatment.
Last but not least, eye cream. I’ve only been using this for about a month and so far so good! This Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for eyes is perfect after a day of full makeup.
And that’s that! Some might think that this is way too many steps (ahem, my little sister lol) but it’s what has worked best for me and my skin! What’s your nighttime routine like? How many steps does it include?

Till next time!
